Matira Beach

The name Bora Bora comes from the Tahitian word pōpora, which means ‘first born’. Thanks to its coral reef, the waters of the island are teeming with life, and Matira beach, the island’s most famous beach, is ideal for diving or snorkeling to explore this wonderful underwater paradise. You can practice kayaking, windurfing, paddleboard, jetski and a host of other activities at Matira. Or you can simply bask in the sun and appreciate being on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
