Sentier De Vaiea Aux Falaises De Hotuparaoa

The 250 meter high cliffs of Hotu dominate the village of Vaiea.

To reach the top of them it’s advisable to use the services of a guide, because the trail is steep and can be dangerous.
The trail takes you through a wood of mape (Tahitian chestnut), mango and hibiscus trees. Along the way along you’ll have superb views over the blue lagoon and you’ll occasionally come across colonies of birds nesting in the trees. At the top of the cliffs the scenery is breathtaking, with views over the Pacific ocean and the neighboring summits of Teurafaatiu andt Nuupere. Don’t forget to take your camera!
