The Faaite atoll, one of five neighboring atolls to Fakarava (classified as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2009), is famous for its pass, home to one of the most magnificent reef breaks in Tahiti Et Ses Îles, attracting special film shoots. It's advisable to go there with a local guide to fully enjoy the magic of this spot.
